Termplus ApS participates in several international language fora and projects. Our partners include:

The NorNa project

Development of an interdiciplinary Nordic search interface.

The aim of the network is to develop and test a prototype for an interdisciplinary, Nordic search machine of interest to many Nordic enterprises and institutions. To begin with, the languages treated will be the close-related Nordic languages Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. The groups participating come from Denmark and Norway (2 groups from each country) and from Sweden and Finland represented by one group each. An observer group from Latvia participates as well.

Common to all participants is that they are attached to LSP research environments. That is why representative Nordic LSP corpora will form the basis of work in the network. The approach is knowledge-based with terminological theories as point of departure. Read more on www.norna.dk

The CIBLSP-project

Corpus Informatisés Bilingues de Langues de Spécialités (CIBLSP) is a bilingual electronic corpus (English and French), started at Université Lumière Lyon 2 – to be specific at the research centre CRTT (Centre de Recherche en Terminologi et Traduction) in September 2002. Project leader is professor Philippe Thoiron and the project is staffed by six researchers. Each researcher is building corpora in his/her own area.

The CIBLSP-project comprises corpora in volcanology, ecology, narcotics, medicine and pharmacology. The project uses traditional and acknowledged methods and criteria to collect texts and analyze them. Even though each individual corpus is designed for special purposes, the overall aim of the whole project is to give a better picture of terminological aspects across subject areas and to design a better tool to examine and to teach LSP. The project is still a work corpus at the university in Lyon.

Susanne Lervad has been a member of the research centre CRTT sinde 1992.
